Would your child enjoy participating in an after-school club this year? Hassayampa offers a variety of clubs and programs. Your child is sure to find something that will interest him/her. Come join the fun!

Thursdays
Open to students in grades 1-5.

Whether your child is a chess prodigy or has never looked at a chess board doesn't matter. This fun group is open to all. We'll help the beginner learn how the pieces move. Chess helps children (and adults) learn to predict probable outcomes, analyze situations, and strategize. This is a game your child can practice with you between meetings. We require appropriate behavior in order for students to participate. Parents must pick students up on time.

Requirements:

  • Activities fee of $1 at the first meeting
  • Parent permission slip
  • Maintain good behavior
  • Have parents pick student up on time
